Cleghorn - About Bronze Sea Water & Freshwater Pumps

Seawater is corrosive.  Bronze (an alloy based on copper and tin) has been used for centuries for its corrosion resistance in harsh marine environments.  Cast iron and steel pumps start to rust and rot as soon as they enter seawater service.  Bronze pumps will last for years, giving reliable performance when it is most needed.

As seawater pumping specialists for over 40 years, our stocked range of bronze seawater pumps is large and our applications knowledge is extensive.  We can specify and supply pumps for engine cooling, bilge, deckwash, fire, and many other saltwater applications.  We stock bare-shaft bronze pumps for engine drive, and DC and AC electric motor-pump units.  Technical advice is always available.

-  bare-shaft pedestal-mounted pumps, for direct or belt drive
-  mechanical or electro-magnetic clutch-pump units
-  AC and DC electric motor-pump units.
